America Got it Right

So I stand corrected. The majority voted for the artist that should have been voted for. I figured with Archuleta's youth and all the girly fans out there, they would vote until their fingers bled, texting "vote" to the allotted number and/or calling in but alas I was wrong.

Maybe it was my 20 votes for Cook that helped.  ;)  I'm kidding of course.

The best man won!  

David vs David

I've vacillated back and forth between these two.  I thought D. Cook could have done better and know he's capable of it.  I've adored D. Archuleta from the get go but I have to admit I'm getting a bit tired of his "humble" Thank you's. It's like he has to put effort into being deeply sincere.  Not that he isn't it's just that it seems a little fake because he's heard time and time again. I think Cook has more charisma for the stage and an audience where as Archuleta is so young yet. 

I've thought all along that Archuleta was going to win it but that Cook should be the winner.  I was going to change my stance on that until I watched the performances last night.  So I still feel the same. Archuleta will win it but Cook should be the Next American Idol. 

Down to Two

So how's that for a prediction? Not bad for a novice, ay? I was moved by their visit to their home towns. I imagined what that must feel like to hit stardom is such a whirlwind fashion. One day you're Joe Smith from Nowhere'sville to being a big name with a day each year dedicated to you in your home town!  How cool is that?!?!

Either way these 3 will do well I'm sure. For a while anyway.

After next week I'm going to be lost Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. No American Idol to look forward too. What a bummer.

Final Three Performances

I've said it all along and that is it will probably get down to the two Dave's for the finale. However, I really wasn't that impressed with David Archuleta's performances and it seems like he has gotten so much praise throughout the season that his "thank you's" to the judges come across as forced or fake, not entirely sincere or like he's getting bored with the praise. I've always thought he's a real sweetie but I'm just getting a little put off by him lately. 

I thought Sayesha was awesome and that the judges comments came with motive. That was to sway the votes away from Sayesha. That's juSt my take on it but I was really surprised with some of their comments.  Especially with Paula's about not being good enough to make it to next week. That kinda of ticked me off.  

And of course David Cook, what a talent! With out a doubt he should be the next American Idol but for his own sake and artistic freedom in his future career, I hope he isn't. btw hubby said he thought his brother looked like you. Funny because David Cook reminds me a lot of you.

So my prediction for tomorrow's elimination is that Sayesha will be voted off and it will be down to the two David's even though I think it should get down to Sayesha and David Cook. 

I Called it Wrong

I called the one being eliminated wrong but the bottom two was correct and it went the way I thought it should. I think Jason wanted to go.  So, Jason is gone and it's down to the David's and Sayesia.

I've been saying for quite some time that the David's will be in final two.  Let's see how their performances are next week.

The Final Four

Tonight AI will reveal who gets eliminated so I'm making my call beforehand.  I think "The David's" were the best performers last night. Sayesia did well and as much as I like Jason, he bombed bad so I say Sayesia and Jason will be in the bottom two. Jason should be eliminated but "America" is voting after all. I won't be surprised if Sayesia goes because I'm sure Jason has a lot of teenyboppers out there submitting 1000's of votes. 

So, that's my call.

I'm thinking it was the same as mine. I am missing you. Truth be told, not having contact with you is getting a smidgen easier with each day. So, like I said in so many words in an earlier post, "I promise the frequency of these posts will lessen." It's my resolve anyway...

April 29th's show forecast

I can't even watch my favorite show without thinking about you, wondering who you think will be eliminated. I figured Jason and Brooke would be in the bottom two and it turned out that Sayeshia and Brooke were. I called out Brooke to be eliminated before it was announced and I was right. Did you guess right too? If you aren't on the road that is. If you watched, you probably guessed correctly. I think we both have that ear, don't you? JuSt saYin....

This AI season, we really didn't compare notes as much as we did the last couple did we? And yet I am missin' that interchange with you?
